“Blogging, what’s that? …Why would anyone want to do that?” Well honestly, just a few years ago, that was me. I could not for the life of me, understand why anybody would want to create a blog and put themselves out there for all the world to read. However, after a few years of being exposed to this 21st century phenomenon, it all makes sense. I have decided to blog! And about what? Well, food and recipes! What have women been doing for centuries? Sharing recipes of course. My earlier memories are of my mom phoning up Mrs. W. and asking her for that amazing casserole recipe she made for the last party. Or of my Nana handing my mom a neatly printed recipe card for the best chocolate brownies in town. Scroll ahead a few years and now I’m the one photocopying recipes for colleagues or emailing my sister a recipe for guacamole. I was recently at a baby shower and a guest asked me for the recipes of the 3 dips I had made. I thought, “There has to be an easier way!” The thought germinated….and became this blog! So here I am – Foodie on Board! My hopes are that this blog will be a place where my friends and family can come to find recipes that they have requested, and where I can share their recipes too. In this context, a food blog is perfect. Type out your recipe, take a picture, click “publish” and voilà, we all have the recipe! The best thing – you only have to do it once!
