Spicy Carrot Slaw For Fiesta Friday #111

Spicy Carrot Slaw

Spicy Carrot Slaw

It’s Friday again! And, this week I have the privilege of co-hosting Angie’s Fiesta Friday #111  with a fellow blogger whose talent I have admired for a few years now. Please meet Naina, of Spice in the City. Once you visit her blog, you will see why I have been drooling over her recipes and photos week after week.

We are a friendly bunch of bloggers at Fiesta Friday, and always welcome new visitors and contributors, so please come join us, even if it is only to drool.  If you would like to post on our virtual blog party,  here are some simple guidelines  to follow.

Today I am bringing a flavourful slaw that I a am completely enamored with.  Think garden fresh carrots in a lemony, spicy dressing, accented with sweet dates and crunchy pistachios!  It doesn’t get any better! Let’s face it, spring is virtually upon us and we will soon be in the back yard grilling. This slaw will be perfect for your spring and summer picnics, and it because of the spices, it will accompany any  Middle Eastern or North African meals. I really hope you enjoy it! This recipe is from my new, most favourite cookbook, “The Real Paleo Diet Cookbook” by Loren Cordain.

Perfect for grilling season!

This is so good! For some reason, I like carrots better when they’re shredded, so I would love this! 🙂
